Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets Y-box-binding protein 1 (gene ybx1) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
Y-box-binding protein 1 (YBX1) is a cold-shock domain protein that binds both DNA and RNA. It is a major component of cytoplasmic mRNPs, where it influences mRNA packaging, stability and translation, and it also takes part in splicing, DNA repair and transcription; it is often elevated in tumors and studied in cancer and stress responses.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Zebrafish) |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue, whole female zebrafish tissue, whole male zebrafish tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Recombinant zebrafish YBX1 fragment (Arg275–Asp310), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt describes Y-box-binding protein 1 as secreted and also located in the cytoplasm, nucleus and cytoplasmic granule. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
