Antibacterial agent 144 is an antibacterial agent that is more effective against multi-resistant Staphylococcus aureus than Chloromycin and Amoxicillin. It disrupts the bacterial cytoplasmic membrane and inhibits biofilm formation. The compound binds HSA (Kd 13.2 μM) and exerts bactericidal effects, and it also binds DNA to form a supramolecular complex that blocks DNA replication[1]. It has a molecular formula of C26H23N7O3 and a molecular weight of 481.51 g/mol.
