Compound Overview

ARC19499, also known as BAX499, is an aptamer that inhibits tissue factor pathway inhibitor (TFPI), thereby supporting clot initiation and propagation through the extrinsic pathway. The aptamer core binds tightly and specifically to TFPI, and it blocks TFPI-mediated inhibition of both factor Xa and the TF/factor VIIa complex. It corrects thrombin generation in hemophilia A and B plasma and restores clotting in FVIII-neutralized whole blood. It is supplied as a white to off-white solid with a molecular weight of 11078.95 g/mol.

In Vitro

SolventSolubilityNotes
H2O≥ 100 mg/mL (9.03 mM)—

Aliquot the stock solution and store it at -80°C (up to 6 months) or -20°C (up to 1 month); sealed storage, away from moisture; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

If water is used as the stock solvent, dilute to the working solution and sterilize it through a 0.22 μm filter before use.
