Compound Overview
BC-7013 is a novel semi-synthetic pleuromutilin derivative with excellent activity against Gram-positive pathogenic bacteria, including potent antibacterial effects against Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, and penicillin-resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae. It is useful in the research of acute bacterial skin and skin structure infection (ABSSSI)[1]. It is supplied as a white to off-white solid (C29H40O5S, MW 500.69) at 99.04% purity.

In Vitro
| Solvent | Solubility | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| DMSO | 100 mg/mL (199.72 mM) | requires sonication; use freshly opened DMSO (absorbed moisture lowers solubility) |
Aliquot the stock solution and store it at -80°C (up to 6 months) or -20°C (up to 1 month); sealed storage, away from moisture and light; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
