As a click chemistry reagent bearing an azide group, it can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAc) with alkyne-containing molecules and can also react with DBCO- or BCN-bearing molecules through strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC).
