Overview
Click light‑blue chips for details
Beta-N-acetylglucosaminidase removes terminal GlcNAc residues from glycoconjugates; its lysosomal activity is a sensitive indicator of lysosomal storage disorders and renal tubular damage. This kit measures the activity of Beta-N-Acetylglucosaminidase (Beta-NAG) Activity by fluorescence at Ex/Em = 365/445 nm. Suitable for tissue, cells, serum, urine, plasma.

Enzyme Activity Assay Kit

Enzyme & Substrate

Beta-N-acetylglucosaminidase removes terminal GlcNAc residues from glycoconjugates; its lysosomal activity is a sensitive indicator of lysosomal storage disorders and renal tubular damage.

Assay Principle

The Beta-N-Acetylglucosaminidase (Beta-NAG) Activity Fluorometric Assay Kit applies a fluorometric format to this measurement, read at Ex/Em = 365/445 nm. Hands-on and incubation time is 30 minutes.

This assay uses a non-fluorescent substrate 4-Methylumbelliferyl N-acetyl-β-D-glucosaminide (4-MUAG) to release 4-Methylumbelliferone (4-MU) which can be measured at an excitation wavelength of 365 nm and an emission wavelength 445 nm.

Q.Which reader is required for this activity assay?
A.This kit requires a fluorescence-capable plate reader. The readout is taken at Ex/Em = 365/445 nm.
Q.What does the activity measurement tell me?
A.Beta-N-acetylglucosaminidase removes terminal GlcNAc residues from glycoconjugates; its lysosomal activity is a sensitive indicator of lysosomal storage disorders and renal tubular damage.
Q.Why measure Beta-N-Acetylglucosaminidase (Beta-NAG) Activity?
A.Beta-N-acetylglucosaminidase removes terminal GlcNAc residues from glycoconjugates; its lysosomal activity is a sensitive indicator of lysosomal storage disorders and renal tubular damage.
Q.Which sample types are validated for this enzyme?
A.The datasheet lists tissue, cells, serum, urine, plasma. Other matrices can usually be adapted, but run a spike-recovery check before relying on the values.
Q.How long does one activity run take?
A.Combined incubation and handling time is 30 minutes. Keep this interval identical across plates in the same study, since timing differences show up directly in the endpoint.
Q.How should the kit be stored on arrival?
A.The kit is shipped on ice and should be stored at -20°C for long-term storage. Shelf life of 12 months after receipt. Unpack promptly rather than leaving the box at the bench, and return components to storage immediately after each use.
