Caffeic Acid Phenethyl Ester (CAPE) is a bioactive compound derived from propolis with potent antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and neuroprotective properties. It inhibits NF-κB activation, suppresses lipid peroxidation, and modulates signaling pathways involved in cell survival and apoptosis. In neuroscience, CAPE has been studied for its ability to protect neurons from oxidative damage and inflammation, making it a promising candidate for therapeutic development in neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.
