Compound Overview
Carbazomycin D shows antituberculosis and antimalarial activity, inhibiting Plasmodium falciparum with an IC50 greater than 10 μg/mL and Mycobacterium tuberculosis with an MIC of 25 μg/mL. It is also cytotoxic to MCF-7, KB, NCI-H187 and Vero cells, with respective IC50 values of 21.3, 33.2, 12.9 and 34.3 μg/mL[1]. It has the molecular formula C17H19NO3 and a molecular weight of 285.34 g/mol.
