Overview
CD38 Antibody is an antibody targeting CD38. Host: Rabbit. Monoclonal. Clone: CD38/8114R. Format: Purified. Applications: WB, IHC-P.
Key elements and design rationale
- Target: CD38.
- Immunogen: A recombinant partial protein sequence (within amino acids 200-300) from the human protein was used as the immunogen fo….
- Species reactivity: Human.
- Localization: Cell Surface, Cytoplasm.
- Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).
Biological background (from provided description)
CD38 is a type II transmembrane glycoprotein that is present on early B- and T-cell lineages and activated B- and T-cells but is absent from most mature resting peripheral lymphocytes. CD38 is found on thymocytes, pre-B cells, germinal center B-cells, mitogen-activated T-cells, monocytes and Ig-secreting plasma cells.
Common research applications
- WB: relative abundance and band pattern assessment using appropriate controls.
- IHC: tissue distribution assessment; interpret with matched controls.
Notes for experimental interpretation
- Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
- Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).
Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
