DTT (dithiothreitol) is a reducing agent widely used in biochemistry. Because it has to be removed for Cys-based protein labeling and for protein disulfide bond formation, the amount left behind often needs to be checked.
Kit Components
| Component | DTT100C |
|---|---|
| 10 x Assay buffer | 1 ml |
| 10 x Reagent A | 0.2 ml |
| 10 x Reagent B | 0.2 ml |
| 10 x Reagent C | 0.5 ml |
Assay Principle
The sample reacts with Reagents A and B, then Reagent C is added and the absorbance is read. Absorbance is linear with DTT concentration, and unknowns are read from a standard curve.
