Inhibitors

Compound Overview

CTL-12 is an inhibitor of fatty acid synthase (FASN), with an IC50 of 2.5 μM, and it can induce apoptosis. It arrests the cell cycle at the Sub-G1/S phase, increases expression of caspase-9 and the apoptosis marker Bax, and decreases the anti-apoptotic marker Bcl-xL. CTL-12 also inhibits de novo lipogenesis and limits the metabolic demands of tumor cells, and it has been used in breast and colorectal cancer research[1]. It has the molecular formula C22H21ClN4O4 and a molecular weight of 440.88 g/mol.
