Enzyme & Substrate
NADPH-cytochrome c reductase is the electron donor for the cytochrome P450 system and a standard marker enzyme for the endoplasmic reticulum in subcellular fractionation.
Assay Principle
The Cytochrome C Reductase Activity Assay Kit applies a colorimetric format to this measurement, read at 550 nm. Hands-on and incubation time is less than 30 minutes.
This kit is designed to measure the NADPH cytochrome C reductase activity in biological samples including cell and tissue extracts, and in purified microsomes (endoplasmic reticulum, ER).
