Dasatinib is a dual Src and Abl kinase inhibitor with significantly greater potency against BCR-ABL than imatinib. In neuroscience, Src family kinases are involved in synaptic signaling, neuroinflammation, and blood-brain barrier integrity. Dasatinib is used to investigate the role of tyrosine kinase signaling in neurodegenerative diseases and has shown potential in modulating microglial activation and reducing neuroinflammatory responses.
