For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures, and not for human or veterinary use. Handle in accordance with the Safety Data Sheet and your institution's chemical hygiene plan.
In Vitro
| Solvent | Solubility | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| H2O | 50 mg/mL (306.41 mM) | requires sonication |
| DMSO | < 1 mg/mL | insoluble or slightly soluble |
Aliquot the stock solution and store it at -80°C (up to 6 months); avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
If water is used as the stock solvent, dilute to the working solution and sterilize it through a 0.22 μm filter before use.
Data provided by the manufacturer.
In Vitro
DETA NONOate (100 μM; 16 h) induces growth of the Mycobacterium abscessus complex (MABC) R morphotype by reducing glycopeptidolipid (GPL) expression in M. abscessus subspecies abscessus (Mab)[3].
In Vivo
In the rat formalin model, DETA NONOate (15-150 μg/rat, i.c.v., once) has a nociceptive effect[2]. DETA NONOate (1 μM) prevents apoptotic cell death and lessens the cardiac mitochondrial injury caused by ischemia or ischemia/reperfusion[4].
| Animal Model | Sprague-Dawley rats (Sixty-two, male, 200-250 g)[2] |
|---|---|
| Dosage | 15 or 150 μg per rat |
| Administration | i.c.v., once |
| Result | Accelerated the nociception in a dose-dependent manner, and this acceleration was completely abolished by Methylene Blue. |
