In Vitro

Enduracidin shows antibacterial activity against multiple antibiotic-resistant Staphylococci strains[2]. Enduracidin blocks peptidoglycan synthesis in M. lysodeikticus, Staphylococcus aureus, and E. coli[3].

In Vivo

In a mouse model of intravenous Staphylococcus aureus infection, Enduracidin (s.c.; at 60 min post-infection) gives a 50% survival rate, with an ED50 of 2.27 mg/kg[2].
