Overview

FABP3 Antibody / Fatty Acid Binding Protein 3 is an antibody targeting FABP3. Host: Mouse. Monoclonal. Clone: FABP3/8440. Format: Purified. Applications: IHC-P, WB.

Key elements and design rationale

  • Target: FABP3.
  • Immunogen: A recombinant partial protein sequence (within amino acids 1-127) from the human protein was used as the immunogen for….
  • Species reactivity: Human.
  • Localization: Cytoplasm.
  • Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).

Biological background (from provided description)

The intracellular fatty acid-binding proteins (FABPs) belongs to a multigene family. FABPs are divided into at least three distinct types, namely the hepatic-, intestinal- and cardiac-type. They form 14-15 kDa proteins and are thought to participate in the uptake, intracellular metabolism and/or transport of long-chain fatty acids.

Common research applications

  • WB: relative abundance and band pattern assessment using appropriate controls.
  • IHC: tissue distribution assessment; interpret with matched controls.

Notes for experimental interpretation

  • Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
  • Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).

Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
