Overview

FasL Antibody / Fas Ligand is an antibody targeting FasL. Host: Mouse. Monoclonal. Clone: FASLG/4453. Format: Purified. Applications: IHC-P.

Key elements and design rationale

  • Target: FasL.
  • Immunogen: A portin of amino acids 107-222 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for the FasL antibody..
  • Species reactivity: Human.
  • Localization: Cell surface, Secreted.
  • Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).

Biological background (from provided description)

Cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL)-mediated cytotoxicity constitutes an importantcomponent of specific effector mechanisms in immuno-surveillance againstvirus-infected or transformed cells. Two mechanisms appear to account forthis activity, one of which is the perforin-based process.

Common research applications

  • IHC: tissue distribution assessment; interpret with matched controls.

Notes for experimental interpretation

  • Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
  • Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).

Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
