Assay Principle
The Fast Human BNP ELISA is a solid phase ELISA designed to measure human BNP levels in cell culture supernatants, serum, and plasma. The main feature is that the kit uses our novel proprietary approaches to combine samples and detections into a one-step instead of the complicated traditional methods. It makes the assay simple, easy, accurate and fast. The measurement can be finished in 1 hour, with no need for 4-5 hours (Fig. 1). The detection range is from 15 to 1000 pg/mL. The levels of human BNP samples are parallel to the standard curves obtained using the kit standards linearly. These results indicate that this kit can be used to determine relative mass values for natural human BNP protein.
Typical Data This standard curve (R 2 =0.9925) is provided for demonstration only. A standard curve should be generated for each set of samples assayed. Fig. 3 is an example of typical data.
Sensitivity The minimum detectable dose (MOD) of human BNP is typically 3.0 pg/ml.
Fast Human Brain Natriuretic Peptide/BNP ELISA Kit is a Solid-phase sandwich ELISA for the quantitative determination of Brain Natriuretic Peptide/BNP. The microplate is pre-coated with a capture antibody specific to the target. Target present in the sample or standard binds the immobilized antibody, is detected with a biotinylated detection antibody and streptavidin-HRP, and quantified colorimetrically against a standard curve.

This assay has a sensitivity of 3.0 pg/mL and a detection range of 15–1000 pg/mL. Samples reading outside the range should be diluted or concentrated.
The total assay time is approximately 1 hour from sample addition to plate reading.
