Compound Overview

Ferric nitrilotriacetate, also called Fe-NTA, is a complex of nitrilotriacetic acid with iron that is highly reactive and is used to induce degenerative disorders through oxidative stress (OS). It has also been used in studies to induce hyperglycemia, glycosuria, and both renal and liver carcinogenesis[1]. It is supplied as a light yellow to yellow solid (C6H6FeNO6, MW 243.96) at 98.0% purity.
