FuniCut™ enzymes are a series of engineered restriction enzymes that are capable of fast DNA digestion. All FuniCut™ enzymes show superior activity in the universal FuniCut™ Buffer and are able to digest DNA in 5~15 minutes. This enables any combination of restriction enzymes to work simultaneously in one reaction tube and eliminates the need for sequential digestions. FuniCut™ enzymes have passed multiple strict quality control steps, and can be used to digest plasmid, genomic and viral DNA as well as PCR products.

Features

  • Rapid digestion: DNA was digested rapidly by enzyme for 5-15 min
  • Universal buffer: one tube reaction, simplifying the process
  • Stringent quality control

Applications

  • Molecular cloning
  • Southern blotting
  • SNP
  • Southern blotting
  • Genotyping

Storage

The product should be stored at -25℃ ~ -15℃ for two years. Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw.

Store this enzyme at -20°C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve catalytic activity. The product is shipped Dry Ice and remains stable for up to one year from the date of manufacture when stored under recommended conditions. Aliquoting the stock solution into single-use volumes is recommended for enzymes used infrequently to minimize thermal cycling of the bulk stock.

Molecular cloning Southern blotting SNP Southern blotting Genotyping. Always verify compatibility with your specific template, buffer, and downstream workflow.

One unit (U) is defined as the amount of enzyme required to completely digest 1 µg of lambda DNA (or specified substrate DNA) in 60 min at the recommended incubation temperature in a total reaction volume of 50 µL.

This enzyme is produced as Recombinant (E. coli) and supplied as a Research Use Only (RUO) reagent. Each lot is subjected to activity assay, purity assessment by SDS-PAGE, and functional validation prior to release. A Certificate of Analysis (CoA) and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) are available on request.

Restriction enzyme efficiency depends on buffer composition (NaCl/KCl concentration, pH, Mg²⁺), incubation temperature (typically 37°C), and template quality. Star activity—non-specific cleavage at relaxed recognition sequences—can occur under conditions of excess enzyme, extended incubation, high glycerol concentration, or non-optimal ionic strength. Use of manufacturer-supplied buffers and adherence to recommended enzyme:DNA ratios (typically 1–10 U per µg DNA) minimizes star activity.
