hAChE-IN-3 is a potent, blood-brain-barrier-permeable inhibitor of AChE, BuChE, MAO-B-IN-1 and BACE-1, with respective IC50 values of 0.44, 0.08, 5.15 and 0.38 μM. It also shows antioxidant activity and metal-chelating ability, and it can bind peripheral anionic sites, affecting β amyloid and reducing Alzheimer's-associated neurodegeneration. In Vitro
In the SH-SY5Y cell line, hAChE-IN-3 (compounds 5c) shows an IC50 of 36.28 μM (24 h), and in the HepG2 cell line an IC50 of 154.10 μM (48 h)[1]. For inhibition of Aβ Aggregation, hAChE-IN-3 has an IC50 of 2.58 μM, with 59% inhibition at 10 μM[1].
