Scientific Background
IL-36 receptor antagonist (IL-36Ra, IL-1F5) competitively blocks IL-36α, IL-36β, and IL-36γ from engaging the IL-36 receptor complex (IL-1RL2 + IL-1RAcP). Loss-of-function mutations in IL36RN cause generalised pustular psoriasis (GPP). Spesolimab, an approved anti-IL-36R antibody, validates this axis for therapeutic targeting of severe skin inflammatory diseases.
Product Description
E. coli ExpressionHuman IL-36Ra/IL-1F5 is supplied as a recombinant protein with C-His. The protein spans Val2-Asp155. It is produced using a validated recombinant expression system and supplied in the format indicated (lyophilized or liquid), suitable for use in biochemical binding assays, ELISA standards, antibody validation, and related research applications.

Safety & Handling
STRICTLY FOR FURTHER SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH USE ONLY (RUO). MUST NOT TO BE USED IN DIAGNOSTIC OR THERAPEUTIC APPLICATIONS.
This protein was produced in E. coli cells expression system. The expression system determines the post-translational modification profile, folding characteristics, and suitability for specific downstream applications.
Reconstitution instructions are provided on the Certificate of Analysis. Centrifuge the lyophilized vial briefly before opening, then add the recommended volume of sterile water or buffer and allow to dissolve at 4°C for 30 minutes without vortexing. Aliquot into single-use working portions in 0.1% BSA carrier protein to minimise freeze-thaw losses.
This protein meets > 95% by SDS-PAGE purity as assessed by SDS-PAGE.
This protein is suitable for use in biochemical binding assays, ELISA standard curves, antibody validation, SPR/BLI interaction studies, and structural research. Bioactivity data, where available, is provided on the Certificate of Analysis. Contact technical support for application-specific optimisation guidance.
Store at −20°C immediately upon receipt. Store at-20°C for up to 1 year from the date of receipt, and avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.. Lyophilized proteins are generally stable for 12 months at −20°C. Reconstituted protein should be aliquoted and stored at −80°C.
