Assay Principle
This EZ-Set™ kit supplies a matched capture and detection antibody pair and a standard for building your own sandwich ELISA for human junctional adhesion molecule A (gene F11R) in cell culture supernatants and serum. You coat the plate with the capture antibody, add samples and standards, detect with the biotinylated antibody and an avidin–biotin–peroxidase complex, develop with TMB and read at 450 nm. Plates, diluents, wash buffer, TMB and stop solution are not included.
Junctional adhesion molecule A (JAM-A, encoded by F11R) is an immunoglobulin-superfamily protein at epithelial and endothelial tight junctions. It helps assemble tight junctions and cell polarity through the PAR3 complex, regulates barrier permeability and leukocyte migration, and serves as a receptor for reovirus and a platelet adhesion protein.
