ICG-001 is a selective inhibitor of the β-catenin/CBP interaction, effectively modulating Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathways. In neuroscience, dysregulation of Wnt signaling has been implicated in neurodevelopmental disorders and neurodegenerative diseases. ICG-001 has been used to study neuronal differentiation, synaptic plasticity, and neuroinflammation. By targeting transcriptional coactivators, ICG-001 influences gene expression profiles associated with cell survival and neurogenesis.
