KT 5823 is a selective and reversible inhibitor of protein kinase G (PKG), derived from K-252a. In neuroscience, KT 5823 is used to study the role of PKG in neuronal signaling, synaptic plasticity, and apoptosis. It has been shown to inhibit nitric oxide-mediated signaling pathways and modulate neuroinflammatory responses. KT 5823 is a valuable tool for exploring the contribution of cyclic GMP-dependent signaling to neurodegenerative disease mechanisms.

Classification: Not a hazardous substance or mixture.

Safety Phrases:

  • S22 - Do not breathe dust.
  • S24/25 - Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
  • S36/37/39 - Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection.
