In Vitro
| Solvent | Solubility | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| H2O | 5 mg/mL (8.95 mM) | requires sonication and warming and heat to 60°C |
Aliquot the stock solution and store it at -80°C (up to 6 months) or -20°C (up to 1 month); avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
If water is used as the stock solvent, dilute to the working solution and sterilize it through a 0.22 μm filter before use.
Data provided by the manufacturer.
In Vitro
Lissamine rhodamine B (1 mg; 1 h; room temperature; dark) can serve to detect ochratoxin A (OTA), a common mycotoxin[1]. Lissamine rhodamine B has fluorescence properties; the detection conditions are excitation at 555 nm and fluorescence emission spectrum detection at 580 nm[1].
In Vivo
Lissamine rhodamine B can serve as a radiotracer for imaging tumor mice by positron emission tomography (PET)[2].
