Tuberculosis is a serious threat to global health; M. tuberculosis (Mtb) infection kills more than 1 million people each year. Mtb ClpP protease, a protein degradation enzyme built from P1 and P2 subunits, is a proven drug target against Mtb.
Kit vs Kit Plus
Both formats provide reagents for 100 assays in 384-well format. The main difference is that the Kit Plus (TBP100KE) also contains 31 µl of 100 x Mtb ClpP1P2 protease, while the Kit (TBP100K) has no enzyme.

Assay Principle
ClpP1P2 cleaves a labeled peptide substrate and releases a fluorescent product read at 460 nm with excitation at 380 nm. The signal can be followed over time or read once after a stop solution is added; inhibitors reduce the signal.
