MCC-950 is a selective inhibitor of the NLRP3 inflammasome, a key mediator of neuroinflammation. It blocks both canonical and noncanonical NLRP3 activation, reducing IL-1β secretion and attenuating neuroinflammatory responses. MCC-950 has shown therapeutic potential in models of multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease, where inflammasome activation contributes to neuronal damage and disease progression. Its ability to modulate innate immune signaling makes it a promising candidate for neurodegenerative disease research.
Classification: Caution: Not a hazardous substance or mixture.
