Calcium (Ca2+) and magnesium (Mg2+) are essential metal ions in biological systems and are common components of biochemical buffers and pharmaceutical products.
Kit Components
| Component | DMA200 |
|---|---|
| 100 x C56 dye | 200 µl |
| 10 x Reagent E | 1000 µl |
| CaCl2 standard | 50 µl |
Assay Principle
The divalent metal ion forms a complex with the assay reagent, which lowers the fluorescence at 535 nm (excitation 485 nm). The change in signal is read against a CaCl2 standard curve.
