Concentration Assay Kit

Cisplatin (cis-diamminedichloroplatinum, Pt(NH3)2Cl2) was the first anti-cancer drug containing platinum. It binds to DNA and crosslinks it, which ultimately triggers apoptosis.

Kit Components

Component CPT200
Reagent A 4 ml
50 x Reagent B 0.080 ml
10 x Reagent C 2 ml

If the Reagent B stock forms crystals, warm it by hand or in a water bath until fully dissolved before dilution.

Assay Principle

Cisplatin reacts with Reagents A and B at 65 °C; after Reagent C is added, light absorbance at 535 nm is read and converted to concentration with a linear standard curve.
