Dithiothreitol (DTT) is a reducing agent widely used in biochemistry. It has to be removed before Cys-based protein labeling and for protein disulfide bond formation, so leftover DTT often needs measuring.
Kit Components
| Component | DTT200 |
|---|---|
| Dye C55 | 5 ml |
Assay Principle
The fluorescence of Dye C55 at 535 nm (excitation 485 nm) increases in the presence of DTT. The signal is linear with DTT concentration, and unknowns are read from a standard curve.
