Glutathione is an essential cellular antioxidant that protects biomolecules from oxidative damage. It is also a common ingredient in pharmaceutical products.
Kit Components
| Component | MGA200 |
|---|---|
| 10 x MAA dye | 500 µl |
Assay Principle
The MAA dye becomes more fluorescent when it binds glutathione. Fluorescence at 535 nm (excitation 485 nm) is read and converted to concentration with a linear standard curve. Reduced glutathione (GSH) is detected with much higher sensitivity than oxidized glutathione (GSSG).
