NADPH is the reduced form of NADP+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate). Many reductases use it as a cofactor and electron donor, and it is produced by dehydrogenases that use NADP+ as the electron acceptor. NADPH and NADP+ take part in many biosynthesis and breakdown pathways.
Kit Components
| Component | NADPH100 |
|---|---|
| 10 x Assay buffer | 1 ml |
| 20 x Reagent A | 0.1 ml |
| 20 x Reagent B | 0.1 ml |
| 10 x Reagent C | 0.5 ml |
| 10 mM NADPH standard | 0.020 ml |
Assay Principle
Sample NADPH reacts with Reagents A and B; after Reagent C is added, light absorbance at 590 nm is read. Absorbance is converted to NADPH concentration with a linear standard curve made from the included 10 mM NADPH standard.
