Compound Overview
MIPS-21335 is a PI3KC2α inhibitor with an IC50 of 7 nM that also inhibits PI3KC2β, p110α, p110β, and p110δ, with IC50 values of 43 nM, 140 nM, 386 nM, and 742 nM, respectively. It has an antithrombotic effect and can be used in research on cardiovascular and metabolic disease, such as thrombosis and hyperlipidemia[1][2]. It is supplied as an off-white to light yellow solid (C24H21N7O5, MW 487.47) at 99.61% purity.

Safety
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures, and not for human or veterinary use. Handle in accordance with the Safety Data Sheet and your institution's chemical hygiene plan.
In Vitro
| Solvent | Solubility | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| DMSO | 25 mg/mL (51.29 mM) | requires sonication; use freshly opened DMSO (absorbed moisture lowers solubility) |
Aliquot the stock solution and store it at -80°C (up to 6 months) or -20°C (up to 1 month); sealed storage, away from moisture; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Data provided by the manufacturer.
In Vitro
At 10 μM for 10 mins, MIPS-21335 impairs platelet-dependent thrombus growth on a collagen surface in blood[1]. In blood isolated from hypercholesterolemic mice, MIPS-21335 (0.1-10 μM, 10 mins) reduces thrombosis[2].
In Vivo
MIPS-21335, given i.v. at 1 mg/kg 10 mins before tail transection, markedly delays and ultimately prevents thrombosis in thrombosis mouse models[1].
| Animal Model | Thrombosis mice models[1] |
|---|---|
| Dosage | 1 mg/kg |
| Administration | Intravenously injection, 10 mins before tail transection |
| Result | Showed smaller fibrin-rich thrombi with very few platelets. Had no impact on bleeding time. |
