Overview

MOAT-B Antibody / Multi-specific organic anion transporter B / ABCC4 is an antibody targeting MOAT-B. Host: Mouse. Monoclonal. Clone: ABCC4/9178. Format: Purified. Applications: IHC-P.

Key elements and design rationale

  • Target: MOAT-B.
  • Immunogen: A portion of amino acids 1-200 from human ABCC4 protein was used as the immunogen for the MOAT-B antibody..
  • Species reactivity: Human.
  • Localization: Membrane.
  • Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).

Biological background (from provided description)

The two members of the large family of ABC transporters known to confer multidrug resistance in human cancer cells are the Mdr-1 P-glycoprotein and the multidrug-resistance protein MRP1. MRP1 is an integral membrane protein that contains an MDR-like core, an N-terminal membrane-bound region and a cytoplasmic linker, and it is expressed in various cerebral cells, as well as in lung, testis and peripheral blood.

Common research applications

  • IHC: tissue distribution assessment; interpret with matched controls.

Notes for experimental interpretation

  • Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
  • Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).
