Overview

MYCN Antibody / n-Myc is an antibody targeting MYCN. Host: Mouse. Monoclonal. Clone: PCRP-MYCN-1A9. Format: Purified. Applications: ELISA, FACS.

Key elements and design rationale

  • Target: MYCN.
  • Immunogen: A recombinant human MYCN protein (within amino acids 335-463) was used as the immunogen for the MYCN antibody..
  • Species reactivity: Human.
  • Localization: Nucleus.
  • Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).

Biological background (from provided description)

The v-Myc oncogene, initially identified in the MC29 avian retrovirus, causes myelocytomas, carcinomas, sarcomas and lymphomas, and belongs to a family of oncogenes conserved throughout evolution. In humans, the family consists of five genes: c-Myc, N-Myc, R-Myc, L-Myc and B-Myc.

Common research applications

  • Suitable for antibody-based detection workflows where target signal comparison and localization are required.

Notes for experimental interpretation

  • Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
  • Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).

Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
