Overview
Myf-4 Antibody / MYOG / Myogenin is an antibody targeting Myf-4. Host: Mouse. Monoclonal. Clone: PCRP-MYOG-1C5. Format: Purified. Applications: ELISA, FACS, IF, WB.
Key elements and design rationale
- Target: Myf-4.
- Immunogen: Human recombinant protein was used as the immunogen for the Myf-4 antibody..
- Species reactivity: Human.
- Localization: Nucleus.
- Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).
Biological background (from provided description)
Myogenin is a member of the MyoD family of myogenic basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factors that also includes MyoD, Myf-5, and MRF4 (also known as herculinor Myf-6). MyoD family members are expressed exclusively in skeletal muscle and play a key role in activating myogenesis by binding to enhancer sequences of muscle-specific genes.
Common research applications
- WB: relative abundance and band pattern assessment using appropriate controls.
- IF/ICC: subcellular localization imaging with proper background controls.
Notes for experimental interpretation
- Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
- Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).
Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
