Overview
MyoD1 Antibody is an antibody targeting MyoD1. Host: Mouse. Monoclonal. Clone: MYOD1/7149. Format: Purified. Applications: IHC-P.
Key elements and design rationale
- Target: MyoD1.
- Immunogen: Recombinant mouse MyoD1 protein was used as the immunogen for the MyoD1 antibody..
- Species reactivity: Human.
- Localization: Nucleus.
- Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).
Biological background (from provided description)
Recognizes a phosphor-protein of 45kDa, identified as MyoD1. The epitope of this mAb maps between amino acid 180-189 in the C-terminal of mouse MyoD1 protein. It does not cross react with myogenin, Myf5, or Myf6. Antibody to MyoD1 labels the nuclei of myoblasts in developing muscle tissues.
Common research applications
- IHC: tissue distribution assessment; interpret with matched controls.
Notes for experimental interpretation
- Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
- Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).
Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
