In Vitro
Nitidanin is inhibitory against the D6 and W2 clones of Plasmodium falciparum, with IC50 values of 21.2 and 18.4 μM, respectively[1]. In human oral epidermoid carcinoma (KB) cells, Nitidanin is noncytotoxic, with an EC50 value >99 μM[1]. Nitidanin has a low cytotoxic effect on human hepatoma Huh7.5.1 cells, with a CC50 value of 464.4 μM[2]. At 0-250 μM for 5 hours, Nitidanin displays anti-HCV activity, with an IC50 value of 200 μM[2].
