Overview

Nucleoside diphosphate kinase B Antibody / NDKB / NME2 is an antibody targeting Nucleoside. Host: Mouse. Monoclonal. Clone: NME2/6434. Format: Purified. Applications: WB, IHC-P.

Key elements and design rationale

  • Target: Nucleoside.
  • Immunogen: Recombinant full-length human protein was used as the immunogen for the Nucleoside diphosphate kinase B antibody..
  • Species reactivity: Human.
  • Localization: Cytoplasm, Nucleus.
  • Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).

Biological background (from provided description)

The nm23 gene, a potential suppressor of metastasis, was originally identified by differential hybridization between two murine melanoma sub-lines, one with a high and the second with a low metastatic capacity. Highly metastatic sub-lines exhibit much lower levels of nm23 than less metastatic cells.

Common research applications

  • WB: relative abundance and band pattern assessment using appropriate controls.
  • IHC: tissue distribution assessment; interpret with matched controls.

Notes for experimental interpretation

  • Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
  • Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).
