Overview

Pan-HLA Antibody / HLA-DP/DQ/DR is an antibody targeting Pan-HLA. Host: Mouse. Monoclonal. Clone: rHLA-Pan/8847. Format: Purified. Applications: IHC-P.

Key elements and design rationale

  • Target: Pan-HLA.
  • Immunogen: Priess cells (a human B cell line) were used as the immunogen for the Pan-HLA antibody..
  • Species reactivity: Human.
  • Localization: Cell Surface.
  • Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).

Biological background (from provided description)

Reacts with a common epitope of human major histocompatibility (MHC) class II antigens, HLA-DP, -DQ and -DR. Human MHC class II antigens are transmembrane glycoproteins composed of an alpha chain (36kDa) and a beta chain (27kDa). They are expressed primarily on antigen presenting cells such as B lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, and thymic epithelial cells and are also present on activated T lymphocytes.

Common research applications

  • IHC: tissue distribution assessment; interpret with matched controls.

Notes for experimental interpretation

  • Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
  • Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).

Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
