PD325901 is a highly selective MEK1/2 inhibitor that suppresses ERK1/2 phosphorylation and downstream signaling. In neuroscience, the MEK/ERK pathway is implicated in synaptic plasticity, memory formation, and neuroinflammation. PD325901 has shown promise in preclinical models of neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders, including fragile X syndrome and Alzheimer's disease, by modulating aberrant signaling and improving cognitive outcomes.
