Peptides, or short chains of amino acids, have key roles in many biological functions, and antigen peptides drive immune responses. Many natural and synthetic peptides are used, or being developed, as drugs for infection, cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
Kit Components
| Component | PEP200 |
|---|---|
| 10 x Dye C57 | 0.5 ml |
Assay Principle
The C57 dye shows a rise in fluorescence at 535 nm (excitation 485 nm) in the presence of peptides. Sensitivity ranges from micromolar to millimolar depending on the peptide, so a standard curve is made with the peptide of interest.
