Compound Overview
PHOP is a fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH) inhibitor used to assess inhibitory activity in a fluorometric assay, and it can determine FAAH activity by measuring the 4-pyridin-1-ylbutyric acid released by the enzyme in rat brain microsomes. It can also directly measure FAAH activity by reversed-phase HPLC with fluorescence detection, providing a basis for developing new inhibitors. It has the molecular formula C18H18N2O2 and a molecular weight of 294.35 g/mol.
