Scientific Background

CDCP1 (CUB domain containing protein 1) encodes a transmembrane protein which contains three extracellular CUB domains and acts as a substrate for Src family kinases. The protein plays a role in the tyrosine phosphorylation-dependent regulation of cellular events that are involved in tumor invasion and metastasis. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants of CDCP1.

Alternative Names

CDCP1; TRASK; CUB domain-containing protein 1; Membrane glycoprotein gp140; Subtractive immunization M plus HEp3-associated 135 kDa protein; SIMA135; Transmembrane and associated with src kinases; CD

What species does this antibody react with?
This antibody has been validated for reactivity against Human, Mouse. Actual cross-reactivity is determined by immunogen sequence homology across species. Contact technical support for unlisted species.
What applications has this antibody been validated for?
Validated applications include: Western Blot (WB), ELISA. Each application was tested with positive and negative controls. Contact our team regarding applications not listed.
How was this antibody produced and purified?
This polyclonal IgG antibody was raised in rabbit against a synthesized target-specific peptide. It was affinity-purified from antiserum using an epitope-specific immunogen, yielding a highly specific antibody suitable for multiple research applications.
What is the expected molecular weight of CDCP1?
The predicted molecular weight of CDCP1 is ~92.9 kDa. Band size may vary slightly depending on post-translational modifications and gel percentage.
What storage conditions does this antibody require?
Store at −20°C for long-term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Working aliquots can be stored at 4°C for short-term use. The formulation includes 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant.
Is this antibody specific for the phosphorylated form of CDCP1?
Yes. This antibody is designed to detect CDCP1 only at the phosphorylation site specified in the product name. Lambda phosphatase treatment eliminates the signal, confirming phospho-specificity.
