Overview
Platelet glycoprotein 4 Antibody / CD36 is an antibody targeting Platelet. Host: Mouse. Monoclonal. Clone: CD36/7216. Format: Purified. Applications: IHC-P, WB.
Key elements and design rationale
- Target: Platelet.
- Immunogen: A portion of amino acids 200-400 from human Platelet glycoprotein 4 protein was used as the immunogen for the Platelet….
- Species reactivity: Human.
- Localization: Cell membrane, Cytoplasm (Golgi).
- Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).
Biological background (from provided description)
Recognizes a protein of 80kDa-90kDa, identified as CD36. It is expressed on platelets, monocytes and macrophages, microvascular endothelial cells, erythrocyte precursors, mammary epithelial cells, and some macrophage derived dendritic cells. CD36 acts as a receptor for thrombospondin (TSP), collagen types I, IV and V, P.
Common research applications
- WB: relative abundance and band pattern assessment using appropriate controls.
- IHC: tissue distribution assessment; interpret with matched controls.
Notes for experimental interpretation
- Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
- Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).
Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
