Product Overview
CD35, also known as complement receptor 1 (CR1), is a 220-300 kDa N-glycosylated member of the RCA (regulators of complement activation) family of proteins. CD35 binds and internalizes particles and immune complexes that are opsonized with MBL or complement components C3b, C3i, C4b, or C1q. CD35 additionally protects the cell from complement-mediated lysis by serving as a cofactor for Factor I and inhibiting the C3 and C5 convertases. The extracellular domain (ECD) of human CD35 contains 30 tandem SCR/SUSHI repeats.

This antibody is validated for flow cytometry applications. For intracellular targets, fix and permeabilize cells using a validated fixation/permeabilization kit (e.g., BD Cytofix/Cytoperm or similar) before staining. For surface markers, stain live or fixed cells without permeabilization. Always include a matched isotype control (Mouse IgG1, κ, Mouse origin) at the same protein concentration as the test antibody to establish non-specific binding thresholds. Recommended starting dilution/concentration: FCM 2 μg/mL(0.5×106-1×106 cells).
This antibody has been experimentally validated in: Human. Cross-reactivity with other species has not been systematically evaluated. If your sample species is not listed, assess immunogen sequence homology to your target species ortholog. The immunogen used is: "Recombinant Human CD35 protein" — higher sequence identity between species increases the probability of cross-reactivity, but experimental validation with appropriate controls is necessary before drawing scientific conclusions.
Store at 4°C valid for 12 months or -20°C valid for long term storage, avoid freeze / thaw cycles. This preparation contains no preservatives, thus it should be handled under aseptic conditions. Storage Buffer: PBS, pH 7.2. Contains 0.05% proclin 300.. To maintain antibody activity, avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Aliquot into single-use volumes before first freeze. If working with the antibody frequently, keep a working stock at 4°C for up to 4 weeks — add 0.02% sodium azide to the working stock as a bacteriostatic agent if azide is not already present in the buffer. Monitor performance against a validated positive control when transitioning between storage aliquots or lots.
This monoclonal antibody (clone E11) provides highly consistent, epitope-specific recognition of CD35, making it ideal for quantitative assays, multiplex panels, and studies requiring strict reproducibility across experiments and independent laboratories. Unlike polyclonal preparations, each production batch from a single hybridoma clone generates antibody with identical epitope specificity, affinity, and isotype — ensuring reliable signal comparison in longitudinal studies or multi-site collaborations. When citing this antibody in publications, include the clone designation (clone E11) to enable third-party reproducibility verification.
