Overview
PXDN Antibody / Peroxidasin is an antibody targeting PXDN. Host: Rabbit. Polyclonal. Format: Lyophilized. Applications: WB, IHC, ELISA.
Key elements and design rationale
- Target: PXDN.
- Immunogen: E.coli-derived human PXDN recombinant protein (Position: R900-D1054) was used as the immunogen for the PXDN antibody..
- Species reactivity: Human.
- Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).
Biological background (from provided description)
PXDN antibody detects Peroxidasin homolog, encoded by the PXDN gene on chromosome 2p25.3. PXDN antibody is widely used in studies of extracellular matrix biology, developmental processes, and disease mechanisms. PXDN is a multidomain peroxidase that contributes to extracellular matrix stabilization by catalyzing sulfilimine crosslinks in type IV collagen, a structural component of basement membranes.
Common research applications
- WB: relative abundance and band pattern assessment using appropriate controls.
- IHC: tissue distribution assessment; interpret with matched controls.
Notes for experimental interpretation
- Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
- Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).
Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
