Overview

QKI Antibody / Protein Quaking is an antibody targeting QKI. Host: Mouse. Monoclonal. Clone: PCRP-QKI-2F10. Format: Purified. Applications: ELISA, FACS, IF, WB.

Key elements and design rationale

  • Target: QKI.
  • Immunogen: Recombinant full-length human protein was used as the immunogen for the QKI antibody..
  • Species reactivity: Human.
  • Localization: Nucleus, Cytoplasm.
  • Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).

Biological background (from provided description)

QKI, also known as HKQ, QK, QK3 or quaking, is a 341 amino acid protein that localizes to both the cytoplasm and the nucleus and contains one KH domain. Expressed in the frontal cortex of the brain, QKI functions as an RNA-binding protein that plays an important role in myelinization and specifically binds to the RNA core sequence 5.

Common research applications

  • WB: relative abundance and band pattern assessment using appropriate controls.
  • IF/ICC: subcellular localization imaging with proper background controls.

Notes for experimental interpretation

  • Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
  • Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).

Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
