Overview
Recombinant BCL2L4 Antibody / BAX is an antibody targeting BCL2L4. Host: Rabbit. Monoclonal. Clone: BAX/9925R. Format: Purified. Applications: IHC-P, WB.
Key elements and design rationale
- Target: BCL2L4.
- Immunogen: A portion of amino acids 1-100 from human BAX protein was used as the immunogen for the recombinant BCL2L4 antibody..
- Species reactivity: Human.
- Localization: Cytoplasm.
- Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).
Biological background (from provided description)
Recognizes a protein of 21 kDa, identified as the Bax protein (also called Bcl-2-like protein 4 or BCL2L4). This MAb is highly specific to BCL2L4 and shows no cross-reaction with Bcl-2 or Bcl-X protein. Bcl-2 blocks cell death following a variety of stimuli.
Common research applications
- WB: relative abundance and band pattern assessment using appropriate controls.
- IHC: tissue distribution assessment; interpret with matched controls.
Notes for experimental interpretation
- Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
- Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).
Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
